Honesty is sometimes painful
For the faith-focused professional, God’s truth is the most powerful truth we can ever have, but It can also be painful!
If you're the type that prides yourself on always telling it like it is, you might consistently remember this: honesty is admirable, but there's no “advantage,” in hurting people. Many people assume that direct honesty is designed to hurt them—because of “other peoples patterns,” they’ve adjusted themselves to.
There's nothing about being honest that “requires” us to be crude and unfeeling!
However, if you constantly live your life in your carnal feelings—(under the power of the old sin nature rather than the new born-again life), then your perceptions about a situation will be off, and you may react in the same spirit to which the dialogue was “seeming”—given! Your carnal perception will indeed create this ‘reality’ of someone being rude and hurtful!!
Kingdom professionals (KP) can be, (for a short time) carnal, but a true KP—will NOT remain carnal for a whole lifetime! Individuals can express criticism and be direct without it being rude and disrespectful. This may be your own “carnal perceptions” again!
Faith-focused correction and training—focuses on your progress and growth, and who God wants you to become, not on your being perfect…If we are honest with ourselves, we know that we are not where God wants us to be. In fact, the faith-focus life, is one of change—extensive, and oftentimes difficult!
We have got to grow and remain stable and fixed in agape’ love, and—be able to take criticism that sometimes ‘appears’ to be “objectionable”.
Just keep your focus ….abide!
