Building Effective, Leadership Teams
In entrepreneurship (businesses), and ministry organizations, each team player was created with different gifts and talents.
Unfortunately, many people try to take on positions that may give them the spotlight, rather than where they are best suited.
They may try to place themselves in positions of power and prestige, which are contrasted with the values of humility, and sacrifice; but for the sake of the team, we’re better off serving in our area of giftedness; whether intellectual, academic, creative, artistic, and leadership.
One of the challenges of a leader is to take seriously the responsibility of identifying who should serve in each role. When you place the wrong person in the wrong seat, it will negatively impact the team.
To have the most unified and effective team, identify each person’s “God-given” talents, and place them accordingly. You will have more success, and a much more unified team.
“But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.” (1 Corinthians 12:18)
Even In the “business” called Kingdom, God himself, purposely selected unique gifts for each one of us. These gifts, blended together into a team, can result in incredible results!
In a Startup, as just one person, you may try to wear all the hats, handling everything from marketing, sales, accounting and customer service, but you will find it a little difficult to reach your primary goals.
To build an effective team, add those people to your team who have God-given gifts and strengths where you have weaknesses.
When the team works together, each using their own unique gifts, you will marvel at the success you achieve, and what can accomplished, through your organization.
