Tough Bosses
Working for a tough boss?
Their standards of excellence, quality & distinction, are sometimes very hard to meet. They always have an input to give, a thought to share, a suggestion here, or a recommendation there. Many times, you have stepped out of their office wondering if you will ever be able to satisfy their high standards.
Now, some years have rolled by for you. Their drive for high standards has rubbed off on you. You no longer settle for a quick finish, or half-done, no quality projects. You strive for excellent output, no matter how many iterations it takes.
Thank God for all the tough, but well-meaning people in your life. Be open to reprimand, hard counsel, strict correction and tough talk that you are sometimes forced to deal with. It is preparing you for greatness. Nobody has ever achieved greatness all by themselves.
Sometimes we might even end up with people who don’t mean well, and it can certainly be challenging to cope with them.
But we need to remember that God has placed every person in our lives for a specific purpose.
How do I know? Because…I’m a tough boss; who works for a tough boss!
Keep pressing on and continue working, being aware that we are in the presence of “His Excellency-The Most High,” even when our physical bosses isn't watching us at the moment.
Whatever you do, whatever kind of work you are doing, work heartily, with all your heart and all the different ways~
with Christ-like character, with honesty, with diligence, with integrity, with humility.
So work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. (Col 3: 23)
